THERMORY

The latest addition to our portfolio is our new collaboration with THERMORY, introducing THERMOWOOD® to our range.

🌲 What is Thermowood?
Thermowood is wood that has undergone a thermal modification process—a natural treatment that uses only heat and steam, without any chemical additives. This process significantly enhances the wood’s properties, making it more durable and dimensionally stable. Thermowood is ideal for applications such as cladding, decking, saunas, and exterior constructions.

🧪 Thermal Modification Process
The thermal treatment of wood includes the following stages:

  • Drying: The wood is dried at approximately 100°C to reduce its moisture content.

  • Thermal treatment: The temperature is increased to between 160–215°C, depending on the desired durability class (Thermo-S or Thermo-D).

  • Cooling & stabilization: The wood is gradually cooled and stabilized, locking in its enhanced properties.

This process reduces the wood’s moisture content to approximately 7%, resulting in superior stability and resistance to decay.

🏠 Thermowood Applications
Thermowood is suitable for a wide range of uses, including:

  • Exterior cladding: Highly resistant to weather conditions and moisture

  • Decking: Ideal for outdoor areas due to its dimensional stability

  • Saunas: Excellent resistance to heat and humidity

  • Interior wall cladding: Offers a natural aesthetic combined with durability

🌟 Advantages of Thermowood
