OSB (Oriented Strand Board)

When it comes to the timber industry, nothing goes to waste. All remaining material derived from timber-processing practises is reused in a variety of ways in order to produce a number of by-products, most-commonly in the form of boards and panels. As a result, we get high performance engineered wood used in various sectors of a building site. Oriented Strand Board (OSB) OSB is formed by adding adhesives and then compressing layers of wood strands (flakes) in specific orientations. It is a ubiquitous material used in roof, wall and floor construction. Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF)

MDF is made by breaking down hardwood or softwood residuals into wood fibres, often in a defibrator, combining it with wax and a resin binder, and forming it into panels by applying high temperature and pressure. MDF is an easy-to use material best suited for indoor use. Its applications include furniture and cabinet making. Moreover, it is a popular material for laser-cutting – the precise process behind elegant decorative objects, or impressive architectural models. Standard Sheet Size (mm): 3660 x 1850 2800 x 2070 Thickness of material (mm): 2.5, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 18, 22, 25 Related Services: Cut to size Delivery of goods

High Density Fibreboard (HDF)

Also referred to as Hardboard, HDF is a product similar to MDF, but with a higher density of wood fibres, making it stronger and more durable. Similar to MDF, its common applications include furniture and cabinet making. Most of you are in close proximity to an HDF board in your house every day, or even better every night, as this is also the material used under your bed mattress – it is perforated to let the mattress breath. Plywood

Plywood is a material manufactured from thin layers or "plies" of wood veneer that are glued together with adjacent layers having their wood grain rotated up to 90 degrees to one another. This inherent structure of plywood makes it one of the strongest (and heaviest) building materials with high resistance to cracking, breaking, shrinkage, twisting and warping. Depending on its type, plywood can be applied for both indoor and outdoor use. Standard Sheet Size (mm): 2500 x 1250 Thickness of material (mm): 9, 12, 18 Related Services: Cut to size Delivery of goods

Fix-boards

Fix-board or pine board is a beautiful and versatile material made of solid edge glued panels of pine wood. Discover its endless potential in all aspects of interior design. Standard Sheet Size (mm): 2970 x 1220 2940 x 100 Thickness of material (mm): 18, 24, 30, 40 Related Services: Cut to size Delivery of goods
